We will be without John Cooney again for our encounter with the Dragons. There is some good news though as Henry Speight has returned from a knee injury. The Dragons side we face is also not at full strength due to international duties.

After the humiliating defeat that we suffered against Munster, we will be looking for something from this game. When I say something, anything will do. It’s hard to even think about this fixture after such an appalling gulf in class that we witnessed in our last game.

Ulster Rugby has made a good start to the season and is so far unbeaten. Up next we are up against a Cheetah’s side that can do us harm. Our squad has seen six changes since our outing in Port Elizabeth. Cooney is out due to injury and we will miss his boot, so it could be tricky.

Some first starts for this Ulster side. Eric O’Sullivan (prop) and Angus Kernohan (winger) have been included in the starting lineup to take on the Cheetahs. They are just two out of six changes from our last game in Port Elizabeth. Wiehahn Herbst joins O’Sullivan in the front row. Rob Herring continues to captain the side and will have to keep an eye on our discipline for this round.

We head to the Toyota Stadium to take on the Toyota Cheetahs in our fourth game of the season in Bloemfontein, South Africa. It should be one of our easier games but a resilient Cheetahs could cause us real problems (especially with our changes).

It’s the Southern Kings second season in the new Pro14 tournament. So their old pundits will no longer need to make any Super Rugby predictions.
After a shaky start to their first season suffering many losses, they did show better form towards the end. So, what can we expect from them this time around?

We voyage over to Port Elizabeth to take on the Southern Kings in our third game of the season at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. So far our games have been tight. Therefore let’s hope Ulster Rugby can put in a more convincing performance this time around.

Jordi Murphy has been ruled out with a hamstring injury so will not be fit for Ulster’s clash against the Southern Kings on 16th Sep 2018.
However, there is some positive news for Ulster Rugby. Clive Ross, Tom O’Toole, Jean Deysel and Tommy O’Hagan have all returned from injury and are now ready for selection.
